REDUCE EXCISE DUTY RATES AND/OR PROVIDE SUBSIDIES ACCORDING TO THE SPECIFIED CONDITIONS, IN ORDER TO INCREASE DEMAND FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES AS A WHOLE. INCENTIVE AND ATTRACT INVESTMENT IN THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE INDUSTRY OF THAI ENTREPRENEURS

    OVER THE NEXT TWO YEARS (2020 – 25), THE SUPPORT MEASURES WILL FOCUS MAINLY ON PROMOTING THE USE OF DOMESTICALLY PRODUCED ELECTRIC VEHICLES. BY REPEALING THE EXEMPTION/REDUCING IMPORT DUTIES. THE WHOLE PREFABRICATED VEHICLE (CBU) BUT MAINTAINS MEASURES TO REDUCE EXCISE DUTY RATES AND/OR PROVIDE SUBSIDIES ACCORDING TO THE SPECIFIED CONDITIONS TO MAKE THE COST OF ALL IMPORTED FINISHED ELECTRIC VEHICLES HIGHER THAN CARS/ IN ORDER TO ENCOURAGE OPERATORS TO ACCELERATE THE PRODUCTION OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES IN THE COUNTRY. SUPPORTS THE GROWING DEMAND FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES REDUCE IMPORTS OF PARTS AND EQUIPMENT FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES, AS WELL AS SUPPORT THE PRODUCTION OF ELECTRIC CARS/MOTORCYCLES IN THE COUNTRY.
